New Resources for Overdrive titles
Interleaf Technology can now supply catalogue records for titles purchased from Overdrive.
These records are supplied by BDS, so libraries will already be familiar with the quality of these records as they are the backbone of Interleaf's BookStream and SingleSource products.
These records are customised for each library having an 856 tag that will enable library users to link directly from the on-line bibliographic database to their Overdrive virtual branch.
This facility will integrate the library's Overdrive collection more closely into the main library collection and will drive more traffic towards downloadable resources.
These records are available in both MARC21 and UKMARC format, so can be integrated into all systems in use at the moment.
The records are available at a very competitive cost and can be provided retrospectively for existing collections of Overdrive titles and can also be provideed on an ongoing basis as ongoing purchases are made.
