Stockton-on-Tees Libraries go live with PC Reservation from Envisionware.

Interleaf Technology, distributor for Envisionware in EMEA, announces that Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, UK, have successfully gone live with PC Reservation booking system in their VMware VDI environment. With 12 library branches and more than 130 clients the PC Reservation system provides a comprehensive PC booking management solution. Interleaf Technology carried out the initial implementation and will be providing ongoing support.

Michael Foster of the ICT department at Xentrall Shared Services, who provide a comprehensive service to Stockton Borough Council, noted “We had been searching for a PC Booking system for our libraries that could fit in with our VMWare View VDI Implementation and in Envisionware we have a partner that can provide the products that we require. Interleaf Technology were very flexible and supportive in the implementation phase, meeting our deadlines and integrating the solution with our VDI technology. The system authenticates our borrowers in real time using SIP against our Library Management System. ”

Xentrall works jointly with both Councils supporting them in the delivery of their services. The services currently being delivered by the partnership are ICT, Design and Print, Transactional HR and Transactional Finance.
The partnership was set up to deliver savings but there has also been investment in the partnership providing additional capacity to support each Council in the transformation of their services.
