Fingal Libraries install Wi-fi from Interleaf
Fingal have implemented wi-fi across 4 of their library branches.
Interleaf Technology have completed the roll out of wi-fi to 4 library branches in Fingal County Libraries in Blanchardstown, Balbriggan, Malahide and Rush libraries. Using the latest Bluesocket controller technology, the system authenticates the library users in real time against the DS Library Management System.
Yvonne Reilly, Senior Executive Librarian at Fingal County Council Libraries commented:
"Fingal Library Service is truly delighted with the easy roll out of wi fi access to four of its larger branch libraries.
As new services go it was an exceptionally speedy and relatively smooth one thanks to an excellent support team.
This new service was advertised on FaceBook etc and the benefits were almost immediately apparent with increased numbers and new borrowers coming to our libraries just for the wi fi!!!
Wi Fi has just arrived in Fingal in good time for all the leaving and junior cert students and we know it is going to be well used!"
The availability of wi-fi also got some coverage in the local community newspaper, the Community Voice
