Waterford City Launches Wi-Fi
Interleaf Technology have completed the installation of Wi-Fi in 3 branches in Waterford City Library
“Waterford City Council Library Service is delighted with the new Wi-Fi service it now provides. The installation was quick and seamless, with no interruptions to staff or existing services. We are especially pleased that the service allows for validation against our Horizon patron database, as we wanted to provide the service free of charge to those that are library members. There has already been a good take-up of the Wi-Fi service, with enthusiasm from both users and staff. In our experience, the benefits of providing the service have been immediate. Changes and benefits already seen are that it has increased the public profile of the library; that it has allowed the provision of additional services such as the ability for users to download ebooks and audiobooks within the library buildings, and it has provided greater convenience and accessibility for users.”
