The Tripod version of the Oscar Self Service system from Interleaf, made its debut at the recent LAI conference in Mullingar.
Interleaf Technology have now released the Oscar Self Service system on a Tube Station that can accommodate 3 units on one pillar. This means that libraries that are very busy or are short of space can operate 3 self issue systems on a small footprint.
Using the Tube Station platform all cables are hidden from view. The Oscar self issue system uses touch screen technology so there is no need for keyboards or mice.
All of the space on the counter top is available to the borrower for more comfort for the user.
The Tube Station in the photograph attached has 3 self issue units back to back and 3 counter tops making a full circle around the pillar.
This ergonomic design makes for an attractive piece of modern furniture which would complement any library.
