The newly refurbished Ballymahon Community Library was officially opened on Friday 18th February 2011 by Longford County mayor, Cllr. Paul Connell and Deputy Peter Kelly, T.D. The new library opened its doors to the public on Tuesday 22nd February at 10am.
Ballymahon Branch library was opened to the public on 22nd February. A fine building with plenty of space - Interleaf provided the PC Reservation software to manage the bookings and Print Management of the 8 Internet PCs. Interleaf also supplied the wi-fi interface via a Bluesocket wi-fi controller and access points. The Bluesocket controller authenticates library cards against the live database management system.
Well done to all concerned in providing such a fine facility.
